Wow, it is only 2 1/2 weeks away before we leave for beautiful Italy. I can hardly wait! I am really trying to enjoy this time because the anticipation and planning is so exciting. This will be Frank's first time over to Europe (my second) and so I hope to make it memorable for him so that he will want to go back again.
We are busy right now with all the preparation: buying batteries for my camera and ipod, memory sticks for the cameras, converters, safety pouches, and luggage. We wanted to pack light and considered using a large backpack for our luggage. We found what we wanted at the luggage store, but is was $250.00/bag. No thanks! However, after a visit to good old Cosco we found the perfect sized bags for us to either wear like a backpack, roll like a suitcase, or carry like a duffle bag for only $38.00/bag! What a deal, and if it only lasts 2 weeks, we will not be heart broken. I will say that I could not have planned this trip with out Rick Steves' Italy guide book and virtualtourist.com. Rick's guide book will not leave my side!
